What to Expect on Saturday Night
La Pachanga is Ball & Chain’s Saturday night main event: a live Latin music party that takes over the patio, the stage, and eventually the entire building. The night opens with DJ sets that build the room, then the live band hits and the dancing starts. You will hear salsa, timba, Latin jazz, and whatever else the performers feel like throwing in. The lineup rotates, but the energy doesn’t.
The crowd is a mix of Miami locals who’ve been coming for years and visitors who found the place on TikTok twenty minutes ago. Both groups end up on the dance floor. You do not need to know how to dance. Nobody is watching you, and if they are, they’re probably about to ask you to dance with them.
La Pachanga runs every Saturday from 9pm to 3am. No cover charge. No bottle service required. Just show up (though we encourage you to RSVP!).
Dinner Before the Show
Ball & Chain is a full-service Cuban restaurant, and Saturday night is better when it starts with dinner. The kitchen runs all evening: ropa vieja, lechon, Cuban sandwiches, plantain fries, and a menu that goes deeper than most people expect from a music venue. Come at 7, eat on the patio while the jazz set is still playing, and you’ll have a table and a full stomach by the time La Pachanga kicks off at 9!
The bar program matches the food. Mojitos are the house specialty. Happy hour runs 4–7pm if you’re getting an early start.

Valet parking is available on site. Street parking exists on the surrounding blocks but fills up on Saturday nights. The honest recommendation: take an Uber or Lyft. Calle Ocho is a straight shot from Downtown, Brickell, Wynwood, and the Beach, and you won’t spend the first twenty minutes of your night circling for a spot.
If you’re coming from out of town, Ball & Chain is in the heart of Little Havana on Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street), about ten minutes west of Downtown Miami. It’s the building with the giant pineapple out front–you can’t miss it.
