South Florida has one of the ‘best new bars in America’
Looking to spend New Year’s Eve at a U.S. hot spot? Look no further than this South Florida bar that was called one of the best new ones in the country.
Thrillist ranked the “Best New Bars in America” with the revitalized Ball & Chain in Miami making the list. According to the site, spending time at the Ball & Chain was “the ideal version of any night in the city.”
The site heralds the “old-school jazz posters cover(ing) the walls, a giant bandstand outfits the back room, and, a go-go dancer (who) spent quite a bit of time on the bar.” They also mention that it was the site of Billie Holiday and Count Basie and offers “pastelito-infused drinks and plenty of Cuban music.” It was also featured in the site’s lists for best new bars in Miami and the city’s most beautiful bars.
Other spots on the list included: Benjamin Cooper in San Francisco, Good Night Sonny in New York City, GreenRiver in Chicago, Little Trouble in Atlanta, Stay Gold in Austin, and Walker Inn in Los Angeles.
If you don’t want to make the trip down south, Copperpoint Brewery in Boynton Beach was named the best craft brewery in Palm Beach County and should make a serviceable local spot for your New Year’s festivities.
