The building where Ball & Chain is was actually constructed back in the 1930s in the middle of the Depression, when construction was at a complete standstill. But in 1967 it became a furniture store until now. The bar has now return back to its glory days by serving us pastelito-infused drinks, tons a great Cuban music… oh and did I mention they have a Calle Ocho Old Fashioned, which has aged rum, demerara sugar, tobacco bitters and leaves?
